Back to School (and routine, yay)

It’s back to school time and to me that means back to routines and crazy busy schedules.  This does have its benefits: less time to think of eating and less time to actually eat.  I find that when I have too much time on my hands (i.e.: boredom) at home, I tend to eat.  To alleviate this problem, I will be staying at work (or doing errands) until 3:00 and then going home to see the kids and get dinner ready and then go where ever that night’s practice/game/lesson is.
I am also grocery shopping once a week ONLY and preparing my meal plan, exercise plan and fruits and veggies on the weekends.  This way, hopefully, I will be organized.

I’ve stalled enough…  Time for last month’s results L  I did lose two pounds, but no inches.  I was doing excellent for the beginning of the month, using my new app called myfitnesspal.  I thought I had my calories figured out because I was losing weight.  Only for the first few weeks though, then I stopped and gained a few back, causing my downfall as usual.  Two pounds is ok though.  That’s ½ pound a week, a very healthy way to lose weight, but painfully slow.  I am still tracking my food intake because I find I eat a lot less that way.

I’m very excited for October at the Y!  We are doing Body Shop again.  It’s an excellent program about six weeks long that can help you get in better shape, lose weight and meet new friends, just in time for Christmas too.  Let me know if you are interested in entering a team or need a few teammates (5 total per team) and I can help.  If you want to better yourself and are quite competitive, this is the challenge for you!
