If you are new here, here’s what has been going on for the past month (well… my adult lifetime to be exact);
1. I have been trying to lose weight and get to my healthy BMI of 25, down from 37.49. So now just 69 pounds to lose this time.
2. I would be following Canada’s Food Guide based on my age and gender and the plan was to take in 2100 calories a day based on 500 calories less than my BMR. We’ll see next post how THAT plan went!
3. I would be planning my snacks and meals out weekly.
4. I also planned on exercising more often and planning my exercise a week in advance.
5. I was sidelined by an injury.
6. I gave many examples of excuses and my personal favorite; no time.
I have trained many people over the past five years and there is a common theme. Most of the new members used to exercise but something got in the way (for years, not days); kids, family, job, age, injury…and the list goes on. As I just read on a post on Facebook today; “If it was easy, everyone would do it.”
If we could all realize that change is inevitable and have backup plans, perhaps so many of us wouldn’t be overweight and our kids wouldn’t be growing up in our footsteps. Not so funny story; as I am writing this at 7:00 at night, my 11 year old asks if she can have an Oreo(less than an hour after dinner). Enough said…..
