Changes


Well, another month has passed and if you came to this blog intentionally, you may be wondering how I did.  A little background first:  I was on vacation for 10 days, went through a reorganization at work, and had my last day at Zellers.  Plus the usual….
  Even with all of the changes and my vacation, I managed to lose 2 pounds and .5 inches.  I’m ok with that.  I am, however going to pick up my training; weights and cardio both as well as teaching all of my classes.

You read that right earlier: I quit Zellers!  After over 5 years, I left my coworkers broken-hearted and lost without me.  The reason for this? I got a full-time job at my Y!  I know!  What better job could there be than to work at a gym?  I am now the Team Lead of Adult Programs.  Similar to what I have been doing for most of this year with my boss gone, but now it’s long-term.  I am so excited!  I get to instruct classes, develop programs for members and lots of other things related to adult programming.  I also get to promote my “baby,” the Y Weight class.  There are now two Y Weight classes:  Monday at 7pm and now Thursday at 11am, both for an hour.  If you are looking for support, ideas and a 30 minute workout, this class is for you.  Email me with any questions: tdafoe@ymcanorthumberland.com.
